By January 1, 2018, Walmart will begin testing its new low-carbon refrigerator.
The company has not said what the tests will look like, but its plans to test more than 10,000 low-cost products in addition to its existing line of low-price appliances and other products, including appliances, light bulbs, and electronics.
Walmart is also looking to get its electric vehicles on the road as soon as possible.
Low-cost appliance companies, such as Lowe’s and Home Depot have been testing products with carbon filters in order to test whether the products are carbon-neutral.
Walmart plans to also test products for the first time on January 1.
