The refrigerator industry is a giant, complex system of interconnected systems and thousands of different ways to manage, clean, and control them.
And, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than half of all refrigerators are in use today because of “unnecessary, unplanned and unnecessary” use.
And according to one study, nearly half of the refrigeration systems in the United States are overused, and are causing a massive amount of carbon dioxide emissions.
So, what can we do about it?
