The GE Profile refrigeration system will include “a taste” feature to make the appliance taste better, General Electric said in a report released Tuesday.
The company said the new appliance, which will be available for the first time in 2021, will have “a pleasant aroma and flavor” to it, and it will be a “low-maintenance refrigerator.”
The report comes a week after General Electric CEO and co-founder Jeff Immelt unveiled GE’s “taste” initiative.
“The GE Profile is designed to give consumers the ability to experience a unique experience of food, beverages and household goods,” said the company’s chief operating officer, Mike McCord, in a press release.
A “tasteful, positive aroma and a tasty taste” will be provided to the customer, according to the press release, which did not provide a time frame for when the new product will be in the market.
General Electric’s new GE Profile fridge is expected to be introduced in 2021.
